We’ve completed carpark upgrade and farm buildings refurbishment for the OPW at Knowth Passage tomb.
This project provides upgraded parking facilities for OPW busses used to bring visitors to the World Famous Bru Na Boinne Passage Tomb sites of Newgrange and Knowth. The upgrade included reshaping and raising the levels of the parking area and installing new tarmac surfaces over new stone build up, improved drainage and lighting installations. It also included landscaping and security upgrades in the form of new fencing and automated sliding gates.
Improvements were also carried out to two protected structures that are used to house interpretive exhibits for visitors.
